Ranks
“Congratulations Seth, Maximum, Monica. You are now dragon riders. Here you will learn responsibility, discipline, fighting. A whole different type of knowledge is in this school. When you graduate, the king will enter you into his own ranks……”
There was the word again. Ranks. Seth hated it. It was an annoying thing. Even his brothers encouraged him to get high ranks.
Seth had black hair, topaz colored eyes, and pale white skin. He was in many ways a very strange kid. He acted very different. He was very good into talking his way out of things. He could outthink anyone. His own father couldn’t understand him.
Seth’s two older brother’s were personal body guards of the general. His father was the general. He was second in command in the army. Only General Horace and King Roran Garrowsson could boss him around. Seth though didn’t want to be like them. He wanted to be a normal kid. Everyone expected him to live up to his name. And now he had. Seth hadn’t expected this though. Dragon Riders were even higher ranked then the Head General. That meant he was higher ranked then his father and brothers.
